June 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the historic Stonewall riots in New York City that marked a turning point in the fight for equal rights for the LGBTQIA+ community in America. This Pride Month, there are dozens of designer collaborations, capsules and limited editions to help all of us show our love and support. Our correspondent Jillian Tangen shows us how to celebrate Pride Month in style this year.

Pride Month designer collaborations and capsules

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the historic Stonewall riots. They served as a catalyst for the gay rights movement in the United States and around the world.  And that means that Pride Month this year, and the celebrations that go with it around the world, are going to be an even bigger celebration than usual. Meaning that there are more designer collaborations and limited-edition capsules than ever this Pride Month.

To help you get decked out for the occasion, we’ve rounded up 20 different items across apparel, footwear, accessories and beauty created especially for Pride Month 2019.

From glittery bomber jackets and rainbow tees to colorful boots, bags and lip glosses, there’s something for everyone on this list. Even better? Every item we’ve listed here benefits an organization that supports the LGBTQIA+  community.

So what are you waiting for?  Let’s get Pride ready.

Apparel.

Levi’s

Every year Levi’s celebrates Pride with a capsule collection. This year they have partnered with OutRight Action International, which campaigns for LGBTQIA+ rights globally. The collection drops in the US on June 3rd. It’s already available in Europe and Australia.  Our favorite from the sneak peeks so far is the Pride Trucker Jacket ($140) featuring rainbow stitching and a rainbow pop-up collar.

Cinq à Sept

Saks Fifth Avenue has gone all in with designer collaborations for Pride Month. All of these partnerships benefit The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative. Cinq à Sept has created a cozy unisex Stonewall Tie Dye Sweatshirt ($225) with the slogan “I Love Everyone.” 30% of sales from the collection will be donated to SIBGI, with a minimum $100,000 donation.

Alice + Olivia

Also part of the Saks x Stonewall collection is a Queen Sequin Bomber Jacket from Alice + Olivia ($795). It’s a dazzling outerwear option. The jacket features a sparkling color-blocked design, with the word “Queen” emblazoned on the back.

Stutterheim

Stutterheim’s Vladimir Raincoat ($395) paints the brand’s signature unisex Stockholm style coat with a rainbow flag. 10% of the proceeds from each coat sold will be donated to an international LGBTQIA+  organization.

Trina Turk

20% percent of the proceeds from Trina Turk’s Rainbow Pride T-shirt ($88) will benefit The Point Foundation. It empowers LGBTQ+ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential.

Todd Snyder X Champion

Todd Snyder has partnered with Champion to create a collection of shirts, sweats and sweatpants to benefit the Stonewall National Monument. 20% of the sales of each item will be donated to the National Park Foundation. We can’t wait to curl up in these Champion Pride Joggers ($138).

Footwear.

Adidas

Adidas is launching its full Pride Pack of gear on June 1st. Both apparel and footwear will sport the hues of the LGBTQIA+  flags. And a portion of sales will benefit the Trevor Project.  In addition, on June 29th the brand will launch a collection celebrating the legendary artist Keith Haring. Items will feature his many eccentric works atop classic styles, like the Stan Smith.

Teva

The iconic 90’s brand Teva has teamed up with the Tegan and Sara Foundation to create some amazing, sky-high Flatform Sandals ($80). In these, you can literally walk on rainbows. For every pair sold, Teva will donate $15 to the foundation, which “stands for racial, social, and gender justice for LGBTQIA+ girls and women.”

Christian Louboutin

Another item from the Saks x Stonewall collection, these bejeweled neoprene sneakers from Christian Louboutin come in either black or white. As with the other items in the collection, 30% of sales of these glittery Donna Space Sock Rainbow Embroidered Sneakers ($1,595) will benefit The Stonewall Give Back Initiative.

Converse

With so many options, it’s hard to pick just one favorite from the Converse Pride Collection this year. However the Chuck 70 Pride High Top ($100) is an obvious standout, thanks to its shimmering style. A portion of the sales from the collection will go directly to It Gets Better Project and OUT MetroWest.

UGG

Mark your calendars: on June 2nd, UGG’s Fluff Yeah Pride Slides ($100) in three celebratory colors go live on their website. For this one-of-a-kind capsule, the brand is partnering with the Born This Way Foundation and their larger initiative, #BeKind21. UGG will donate $25 for each pair sold.

Doc Martens

Get ready to dance through the streets in what is probably the coolest combat boots ever made, with Dr. Martens 1460 Pride 8-Eye Boot ($145). A portion of the sale of each pair of Pride boots goes to The Trevor Project, which focuses on crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQIA+  youth.

Accessories.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren has teamed up with The Stonewall Community Foundation for a gender neutral Pride capsule collection for adults and kids. A percentage of each item’s sale will be donated to the foundation, benefitting an international network of LGBTQIA+ organizations.  Our favorite is the Ralph Lauren Pride Tote ($150).

MoMA Design Store

The Rainbow Flag designed by Gilbert Baker that was first unfurled on June 25, 1978 at the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Freedom Day Parade, is the most eduring symbol of the LGBTQIA+ movement. The original flag now has a home at MoMA, so it’s only fitting that they would have a replica made as an enamel pin ($10) where the sale of each one benefits Open Art Space, a free weekly drop-in program offering art-making activities and experiences for LGBTQIA+  teens and their allies.

Fossil

Fossil has partnered with the Hetrick-Martin Institute to create a limited edition Pride Watch ($100) where 100% of the proceeds will go to benefit the institute. For the past five years, Fossil has worked closely with HMI to help provide LGBTQIA+ youth with a safe and supportive environment.

Fleur’D

Fleur’D has crafted a special Pride Dahlia pin ($50) made from six petals of luxurious satin to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. It’s the perfect add-on to any jacket, bag or shirt this month and beyond. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Stonewall Community Foundation.

Beauty.

Harry’s X José Roda

Together with the artist José Roda, shave brand Harry’s has launched a Shave With Pride Set ($25), with 100% of profits donated to The Trevor Project. Just as cool?  No two handles in this limited-edition set are alike.

Rudy’s Shave Co.

Rudy’s has partnered with the It Gets Better Project to make sure everybody can feel their best. For every purchase of the 1-2-3 line ($55), Rudy’s will donate the same shower essentials to homeless shelters across the country serving LGBTQIA+ youth.

Marc Jacobs Beauty

Following the recent launch of his beauty line, Marc Jacobs has launched a new lip lacquer titled Enamored with Pride ($28) that comes in rainbow-patterned packaging. From June 6 through July 10, the brand will be donating 10% of profits from the new shades to SAGE, the largest and oldest organization devoted to aiding older and elderly members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Milk Makeup

Indie beauty brand Milk Makeup has created a limited edition Wear Your Pride Set ($28) where 100% of proceeds go directly to The Center and includes a glitter stick, mascara and holographic stick to help you celebrate this month in style.
