1. New York Fashion Week
September 11–16, 2025
The September shows in New York open with Michael Kors on Thursday, September 11, and close on Tuesday, September 16. Among the most talked-about moments this season: Nicholas Aburn’s debut at Area, Zane Li’s inaugural collection for LII, the return of COS to the New York runway, and Veronica Leoni’s highly anticipated sophomore collection for Calvin Klein. The Council of Fashion Designers of America has also introduced the new “Venue Collective,” a curated group of ten no-cost presentation spaces linked by shuttle service — making this season more accessible for emerging designers without sacrificing polish.
2. London Fashion Week
September 18–22, 2025
From Thursday, September 18, through Monday, September 22, London Fashion Week will hum with energy as the British Fashion Council, now led by Laura Weir, delivers one of its most inclusive and inventive schedules yet. Show fees have been waived to support new talent, resulting in a rich mix of household names and emerging voices. On the must-see list: Burberry’s latest under Daniel Lee, Simone Rocha’s romantic yet subversive silhouettes, Chopova Lowena’s folkloric streetwear, Roksanda’s architectural color play, and the new class of Fashion East protégés.
3. Milan Fashion Week
September 23–29, 2025
Milan takes the stage from Tuesday, September 23, through Monday, September 29, and the buzz is already electric. Milan Fashion Week will open with Gucci’s debut under Demna at a 7 p.m. show that promises to redefine the house’s codes. Midweek, Simone Bellotti will present his vision for Jil Sander, while Saturday belongs to Louise Trotter’s bold reimagining of Bottega Veneta. The emotional crescendo will be Giorgio Armani’s return to the runway after a brief health hiatus — a moment that Milan’s fashion insiders will remember for years to come.
4. Paris Fashion Week
September 29–October 7, 2025 (Previews from September 27)
The grand finale of Fashion Month runs from Monday, September 29, through Tuesday, October 7, with select preview events beginning on Saturday, September 27. Paris Fashion Week will also mark the opening of Virgil Abloh: The Codes at the Grand Palais on September 30 — a sweeping, multi-disciplinary retrospective featuring over 1,000 objects from the late designer’s archive, many never before seen, on view through October 10. On the runway, expect Matthieu Blazy’s debut at Chanel, Jonathan Anderson’s first collection for Dior, Pierpaolo Piccioli’s turn at Balenciaga, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Loewe, Glenn Martens at Maison Margiela, and a wave of fresh energy from Vaquera and Meryll Rogge at Marni.
5. The Armory Show – New York City
September 5–7, 2025
New York’s premier modern and contemporary art fair returns to the Javits Center, with The Armory Show welcoming over 200 leading galleries from around the world. Expect a strong showing from blue-chip dealers alongside cutting-edge presentations from emerging artists, plus curated talks and special projects across the city.
6. Cannes Yachting Festival
September 9–14, 2025
Set against the sparkling Côte d’Azur, the Cannes Yachting Festival is Europe’s largest in-water boat show. More than 600 vessels, from sleek tenders to grand superyachts, will be on display in Vieux Port and Port Canto. VIP visitors can arrange private sea trials and sunset champagne cruises.
7. Braemar Highland Gathering – Scotland
September 6, 2025
For over 900 years, Scotland’s Highland Games have been a celebration of heritage, athleticism, and pageantry. The Braemar Gathering remains the most prestigious, drawing members of the Royal Family to witness caber tossing, piping competitions, and highland dancing, all framed by the Cairngorm mountains.
8. Maison & Objet – Paris
September 4–8, 2025
Interior design professionals converge at Maison & Objet for five days of trendsetting décor, furniture, and lifestyle products. Held at the Parc des Expositions in Villepinte, the fair showcases everything from emerging artisan brands to heritage houses.

11. US Open Tennis Championships – New York City
August 25–September 7, 2025

21. Oktoberfest
Yes, it’s confusing but Oktoberfest always starts in mid-September! Every autumn, Munich is home to one of the world’s largest craft beer festivals. The 190th Oktoberfest will take place from September 20 to October 5 on the Theresienwiese.

September 21, 2025
Observed worldwide, the International Day of Peace offers a chance to reflect, gather, and engage in cultural and artistic events dedicated to unity.
23. new york philharmonic opening night
The Opening Night Gala for the New York Philharmonic will be held on September 24. Held at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center, this year’s event will honor arts leaders and philanthropists Vera Blinken and the memory of long-time Board member Ambassador Donald Blinken. The evening features a one-night-only concert headlined by Grammy Award-winning vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant – one of the most captivating jazz singers of our time. Anthony Parnther, hailed by The New York Times as “a conductor for the future,” leads the performance.
24. kerry james marshall at the royal academy, london
The Royal Academy will mount a solo show of works by Kerry James Marshall from September 20, 2025 to January 18, 2026. On the occasion of the artist’s 70th birthday, The Histories will be Marshall’s first institutional presentation in the UK for almost 20 years. The show will feature over 70 works, including a new series of paintings made especially for the exhibit, as well as his commemorative sculpture Wake, 2003.
25. Alejandro G. Iñárritu at fondazione prada
From September 18, 2025 to February 26, 2026, the Fondazione Prada will present “Sueño Perro: Instalación Celuloide de Alejandro G. Iñárritu,” a global multisensory exhibition rooted in the intersection of cinema and visual art, created by Academy Award-winning Mexican filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
