Don’t believe us? Just look at the Hermès spring/ summer 2021 show, where 46 runway looks came paired with a brown, pale taupe, black or cream versions of the iconic Dutch wooden shoe.

The luxe French house wasn’t alone in elevating the such sensible footwear. Celine and Chanel also featured clogs throughout their recent runway collections, and now big brands and indie designers alike have followed suit. Isabel Marant, Loeffler Randall, Stella McCartney and more are all offering unique takes on the wooden-heeled shoe, ranging in style from fun prints and textures to shiny metallics and vibrant hues.
