There’s breaking news in the fashion world, and in case you missed it, we’re sharing it here. The Telegraph of London has proclaimed that “pink suits . . . have become a soft power uniform for high-profile women.” To be specific, the designer pink power pantsuit is showing up in the rooms where it’s happening. If this sounds appealing – and how could it not? – we’re sharing the wide array of options that await at the moment. Here are 10 examples of the perfect choices for an on trend pink designer power suit – specifically, a pantsuit – for women to wear to work (or other high-profile occasions) in the second half of 2022. Dudes are wearing them, too, by the way – so this is a game everyone can play!

the power of the pink suit

Our friends in London at The Telegraph are highlighting a trend that it seems imperative to share with all: the pink suit is inescapable at the moment. The Telegraph notes that “in the past few weeks alone, we’ve seen it on the Duchess of Cambridge (in Alexander McQueen) and the Countess of Wessex (in Gabriela Hearst).”

Why is this news? Well, “a grey or navy suit would be unremarkable. A punchy fuchsia pink? Not so much.” And perhaps this provides a small glimmer of hope in a pretty dark news cycle. After all, “pink is a semaphore for positivity, creativity and femininity.” The world could use a lot more of all of that right now.

Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, who created a new signature pink shade for the fashion house that has always been most closely associated with the color red, is on board. “Pink can be delicate, sensual, hedonistic and irreverent,” he told British Vogue earlier this year. “Anyone looks great in the color.”

It’s no surprise, then, that as The Telegraph notes, lots of celebs are going pink. Zendaya attended the Valentino show in Paris in March wearing a hot pink suit. Lily James arrived in a fuchsia Versace suit for The Late Late Show with James Corden. Kristen Stewart and Jessica Chastain have donned pink suiting in recent months. And the boys are embracing the idea, too, by the way. Succession star Jeremy Strong wore a pink suit to the SAG Awards. And Timothee Chalamet has made his Stella McCartney pink suit a signature look.
