Our friends at The Brookings Institution estimated that when the statistics come in, it’s likely that as many as 500,000 fewer babies were born in 2021 than prior to the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s a 13% drop from 2019.

One baby girl exempted from these stats is Lilibet Diana, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who arrived last June.

Meghan has favored the belted shirt dress over the years so it was no surprise that she chose this flattering and elegant silhouette for her sit-down with Oprah. While not a maternity dress per se, the belt and gathered fabric make it easy-to-wear both during the pregnancy and afterwards.
